Our primary services are coaching/consulting and ghostwriting (and its variations) for aspiring and repeat authors. Clients easily stick with one service when that is what matches their needs.

Multiple Services

We greatly enjoy taking people from the beginning of their story to helping them self-publish their books. Still, to reiterate, a client is under no obligation to use multiple services. We encourage what the client needs based on the client's goals.

Adding Services

Easy enough to begin with one service, like our self-publishing support, and then move to additional help, such as receiving coaching for the same book or the next book. We want our clients to always feel free to ask us how we can accommodate ongoing or future projects.

Publisher

Our company never pretends to be a traditional publishing company, and we also are not in the vanity or hybrid world. We have a boutique publishing imprint we offer in exclusive situations to select writers and authors to release their stories under the Oceannapolis brand. In these circumstances, authors do not pay out of pocket. Oceannapolis earns prearranged royalty percentages from book sales.

Self-Publishing

Oceannapolis delivers detailed publishing guidance as part of this service, not to mention editing, formatting, and book covers. But when a client self-publishes, Oceannapolis isn't the publisher at all. The client is.

Most of all, Oceannapolis is a company providing coaching and writing services for both aspiring and repeat storytellers and innovators. We focus on getting clients' content ready for them to self-publish, share, or use.

Nonfiction

Nonfiction is our specialty, including memoirs, autobiographies, business, leadership, self-help, spirituality, and culture.

Fiction

Yes to fiction as well, including mystery, sci-fi, and adventure. Not in the same demand as our nonfiction writing, but we love doing it just as much.

Self-Publishing or Publishing

Those seeking to share meaningful ideas or stories. We mostly focus on the deep content of nonwriters wanting to publish books, produce narratives, or solve problems.

Directly through the invoice(s) sent by Oceannapolis. Payments expected by the prearranged due date(s) with a one-time payment or an agreed-upon payment plan.

Oceannapolis performs a lot of the writing services, but we also contract work to individuals and businesses while we set up, plan, and/or lead the process. We communicate the different kinds of work transparently with every client. Oceannapolis doesn't carry out certain roles itself. For example, we do not create the design work for clients' book cover files or conduct audiobook narrations. We always use contractors or vendors for such work. Once again, Oceannapolis stays involved in the process for communication and planning, and frequently as well for leading the overall project(s).

Oceannapolis receives no public credit for our ghostwriting work. In select circumstances, an author will want to give us credit for helping them, and we mutually modify the agreement. Still, we try to establish in the initial agreement the kind of credit Oceannapolis will receive, if any credit at all. The agreements for ghostwriting, coauthoring, and contracted writing vary from one  situation to the next. We simplify the details for clients about their specific projects.
